This was my final project as a student at ASU. I worked as a team with Andie Jane, to develop the project concept, drawings, renderings, and final project layout. We focused on bringing back the style of early to mid-century it originally had, being a former section of Route 66, and bringing in a contemporary function of co-working. The goal was to create a balance of comfortable & familiar, while being fresh & inviting. The challenge was the existing building footprint could not be changed, the basement had to be publicly accessible & ADA compliant, and meet the programming needs of the project brief. This included a coworking space, and the two residential units on the upper floor.
